Normally it's the same days as the 'Journees Patrimoine' which are the weekend of September 17th/18th this year. Occasionally they move it because of an event on the Le Bourget fair site. It is usually announced on the Musee de l'air website in advance.

Good luck

One other point on the JdeP weekend is that many sites are open to the public. This has in the past included museums such as Canopee at Chateaudun amongst others.

Thanks for that Adrian. Any chance of a link to the web site, have just looked on the main website and I did not see it, is it on the French only part ?

Also as previously mentioned any news of the Chateaudun museum collection being open, although with current security I would doubt a military base would be open ?

According to the Canopee museum website 'http://canopee-chateaudun.fr/' it will not be open this year on the Journee du Patrimoine because of the current security situation. They hope it will be open again in 2017.
