Which Sigma 500mm zoom lens ?

Which Sigma 500mm zoom lens would FCer's suggest. Choice would be the 50 - 500 or the 150 - 500 which has image stabilising. Not a lot of difference in price has any body compared them side by side , what about the image quality ? To be used on Canon DSLR.
