Yongnuo Lens's

Post by John flightpath » Sun Nov 18, 2018 5:03 pm

Hi all

Has anyone got exprience with a Yongnuo 50mm prime lens. I have seen one as cheap as chips on an ebay shop, brand new. I know the casing is plastic but want to know if the lens is actually glass. Just a cheap lens to have in the bag for static stuff.
Any pointers on Yungnuo in general will be most welcome.

Thanks and regards
John 'flightpath'.

Not got one personally although have looked at it as a future option. As always there is plenty of info available on the internet to save you waiting for an answer here. Just one example of a review which seems to suggest that it isn't too bad a lens compared to Canon's own 50mm:

Hope of use to you.

I think it is slightly inferior, having fewer aperture blades. The going rate for a Canon mk I nifty-fifty is around £70 to 100..... in fact MPB are selling a load of mk IIs for £57 and that's a good price
