Canon full frame back up.

Post by John flightpath » Sat Aug 25, 2018 7:26 am

So, looking for a back up camera for my kit. Thought I may as well get a full frame.
The 5d, 6d, and 7d types are just out of my budget, simple as that. However there were full frames out there several years ago which had in the region of 10 and 12 mp which is all I really need for a back up camera.
Are there any recommendations from you experiences. ??

Many thanks

Try a find a good quality used 5D Mk.1. 12.8Mp and capable of delivering some very good results.

Many thanks for the recommendations so far. I am looking into it and the plan is to get one sorted in plenty of time for next years airshow season.I can see what you mean by suggesting the Canon 5D Mk1.

Cheers

The 5D mk I, or Classic is still a very capable camera, although the ISO is usable up to 400 and stops at 1600!
Times have certainly moved on since then.

It's a good camera to start with but watch the lenses, you must not use EF-S lenses with the 5D.

I won't be doing Wallace. I'll be primarily carrying a Sigma lens on it and use the other lenses on the the 750d i've got. Thanks for the info all very much appreciated.

I have a 5D Mk II for sale with 46,000 odd frames on the clock. 21mp. Will take £500 for it.
You want the Aladeen news, or the Aladeen news?

Thanks Tony. As tempting as the offer maybe, I have to stay in the budget limits. No doubt someone will buy it off you.
