Flickr buyout by Smug-Mug

Post by lardyboy999 » Sat Apr 21, 2018 3:45 pm

Anyone else had an email today about Flickr being bought out by Smug-Mug?

Anyone use Smug-Mug at the moment?

Should we be worried?

Thoughts?

No

No

No

I'd expect that eventually SmugMug will merge Flickr in to their offering, but for now they've said it's remaining separate. It may actually be a positive thing, Flickr hasn't really had much investment over the years...

Don't be so negative, SmugMug are no dummies, they have a fairly slick web site creator thingy, so it could be a good thing and if it means an end to the Bad Pandas then I'm for it.
