Camera Bag

Post by stevep22 » Wed Apr 11, 2018 6:28 am

Just bought a Sigma 150-500 and am now having to consider a new bag for my kit as the small one I currently have won't accomodate the Sigma. I need something that will hold the big lens, a 70-300 zoom, a standard lens, two camera bodies, a small pair of binoculars and the other usual bits. Looking at a backpack but don't want one that looks like I'm setting out from Everest base camp. Something, smaller and lighter, that would be OK as a carry on when flying. Any suggestions ?

Thanks

Steve

I got one of these: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00CD778LC/ ... UTF8&psc=1 last year, used it for RIAT, and also for a trip to Singapore as carry-on bag. Plenty of room, good price. For RIAT it held two bodies (550D and 80D), three lenses, Bearcat radio, binos, and, most important, LUNCH!
For Singapore it was 80D with 18-135USM, 50mm 1.8 prime, speedlite 430 plus filters, Lumix TZ70, 10" Lenovo tablet, phone, toiletry bag, documents.
Might not be as smart as a Lowe-Pro or Manfrotto, but much cheaper!

As it happens, Wex have many Lowepro bags on half price. I've got the flipside 400. It carries two bodies, a 100-400,70-300, two 50mm, a 17-35 and an 18-105. Also plenty of room for my scanner, a tablet, spare cards, cloths etc.

Thanks for the heads up on the Wex offers. Had a look and the AW400 looks to be just what I'm looking for.

Cheers

Steve
