Hi all,
Managed to get my 1st spotting trip with my new 6d mark ii camera this week, however I’ve noticed that a 400mm lens no longer gives anywhere near the reach that I need. Can anyone recommend a good lens? I currently have. A 28-300mm & a 100-400mm mark 2. Looking at selling at least one of these, then buying a 1.4x extender or buying a significantly larger lens.
Any help would be great,
Regards Andy

Re: Full frame cameras & which lenses?
Hi Andy - I'm assuming you had a 1.6 crop sensor before so your 400mm was equivalent 640mm. Unless you've won the lottery(!) Canon 600mm is out of the question. Probable realistic options are one of the Tamron or Sigma 150-500 or -600 range. Worth researching new or second-hand plus look through the forum for similar posts.
