Ultra wide angle lens recommendation.

Post by John flightpath » Thu Dec 01, 2016 7:33 pm

I recently became interested in the above for my Canon DSLR's, having read a good report in Ametuer Photographer mag for a Canon USM lens. However have since found comparable lenses from Tamron and Sigma. They are:-

Tamron SP 10-24 SP AF Di i F3.4 to 4.5.

Sigma EX 10-20 F4- 5.6 EX DC

I would use it for scenery and close up ( ie static and museum)

Given the fact that I bought myself a Sigma 150-500 zoom earlier this year and have been blown away by the detail this lens brings out, not to mention the colours, I just want to know , who of you out there have had personal experience of these lens's and see which one you recommend etc.

Thanks and Regards
John 'flightpath'.

I have the Sigma and it does get a lot of use. Great lens, but you will need to use some lens correction in PP when shooting at 10mm as it does suffer with a bit of barrelling..
