Should work fine John it will work on 60D/70D 7D etc so should be no bother on the 750D, I am looking to get one in the future(saving up my pennies) but to go on a Nikon D7100(saving up for that also).

I know what you're saying but need to keep a budget for the moment. Thought I would go down the Sigma route as it is the first time I will have had this type of lens. Then, if and when the time comes for the Canon L series, I can always sell the Sigma on.

Cheers

My understanding of the lens is - if you can zoom in just a bit say 450mm and use f8-f9 that is its sweet spot at the long end, also if you shoot at 1/1000 i would turn off the OS sytem, as it can affect the IQ and slow AF down a bit.

I think for a Bang for Buck zoom lens for the price £440-£500 s/h - They are Hard to beat.

Hi John, I use that same Sigma lens on both my Canon 700D and 60D with what I think are great results. Beware, though, it's a heavy bit of kit and with the lens hood on isn't far short of 16" long at maximum zoom. I too have found best results at around 450mm. Nice lens and well worth the money.

Get a Sigma 150-600 contemporary
£750
Beautiful lens, pin sharp at 600 if you stop it down to f/9, you could probably shoot it wide open tbh, but I never like to shoot lenses wide open so I always stop them down to about f/9.
