Threshold.Aero Nightshoot at RNAS Yeovilton

Post by Bobbster » Fri Mar 23, 2018 10:18 am

Living in sunny Cornwall nightshoots are generally out of reach, that said the second threshold.aero/Navy Wings nightshoot gave me an opportunity to call into Yeovilton on the way back from the Mach Loop. I really enjoyed it a very well laid out line up with good lightning, and everyone was respectful of each others space with no-one at all hogging the prime spots. I will most certainly visit this one again in the future.

What I'd give to see the Phantom fly again. You've caught it really well.
In this world there's two kinds of people, my friend. Those with loaded guns, and those who dig. You dig.

good to see XP924 again, what is her current condition following the emergency landing last year? Have any dates been released for it getting back in the air?

Thanks for all the feedback on the images, not sure on the current status of the Sea Vixen. I know fund raising was put in place to enable repairs but obviously this would be a huge cost. In addition I did see an appeal for Sea Vixen engine stands (I think), so that would suggest work is progressing somewhat.
