Andrews AFB air show 2017

This will be the first of many from the trip to the USA I made a couple of weeks ago. It started with the Andrews AFB air show which was a great start, some really cool surprises on the day made for an excellent show. These included an impromptu show from a B-2 & Lockheed T-50 & a departure from an AC-130J which I'd never seen before. Just a shame the first half of the show was backlit really with the sun moving round in the afternoon but cloud cover increasing. We did a little spotting a couple of days after as well which I'll post in this thread as well, we didn't see an awful lot unfortunately though.

Great images would like to visit the show sometime .What is the nearest airport from ANDREWS to enable a visit from UK also is it ok for accomadation travel etc . T hanks ROB

Washington Dulles would be the closest. We stayed in a motel in Camp Springs just around the corner. I went with a tour group so I didn't have to worry about any of that

Nice selection and always an Interesting show, pity the Americans don't really segregate aircraft from people, well from a photographers point of view that is.
