Two weeks ago I was lucky enough to be invited out with the MIRO team and their lifeboat based out of Findhorn near Kinloss barracks.
A small raft race with local businesses and lifeboat crew members took place in the bay to raise funds for the boat. The highlight of the
day was a visit from the Inverness based S-92 that has taken over the SAR role from the RAF Sea Kings. On it's way back from training in
the Cairngorm mountains it showed up to do a fast pass down the bay chasing us in the boat, after a short communication over the radio they
proceeded to go into a hover over the far end of the bay to assess the wind direction and speed to see if it would be possible to do a quick winching
demonstration. Thankfully for myself on board with a camera and to the delight of the crowd they were within limits and put on a fantastic demo of
the skills they use on a day to day basis. A great day out and fantastic to see the professionalism of the crews at work.

Great set from a unique perspective. And well done to the flight crew for doing "a little extra".

Thanks guys, I'd do it again in a heart beat. It was a steep learning curve that cost me some shots but maybe next time. :-)
