Bruntingthorpe - My part in Neil Cave's night-fall
Bruntingthorpe - My part in Neil Cave's night-fall
An interesting day, which started for me at 2AM. I didn't want to wake at that time but I did. On the go at the back of four, stopping off at the SYAM, Doncaster by 10AM.
Arriving at Bruntingthorpe front gate with about a million other guys at 2PM.
Depressing, overcast day, grey skies and an none to exciting photo session to start with. I could have gone home at this point but I stayed on for the night-fall, when things got a lot better.
The highlight was hearing two Buccs run up their engines - YES!
A good job that I keep a set of lug-plugs in my camera bag because these babies were loud.
Left at chucking out time at the back of eight for a hotel half an hour up the road.
I had to laugh at some guys leaving early because they had a two hour drive ahead of them!
On the road at 7AM, Solway Museum wasn't open and home by the back of two... very tired but happy.
I hope that you don't mind this post being a wee bit picture heavy...

Everyone else has done wing fold piccies , so why should I be different? A b1tch to mask with the grey sky and too sharp outlines, not my best work.

My survival instinct kicked in here, maybe it wasn't such a good idea to be standing in front of a Bucc at high engine trust.

Re: Bruntingthorpe - My part in Neil Cave's night-fall
Excellent pics.
Everyone should be made to go to Bruntingthorpe at least once. It's brilliant.
Full afterburner passes with EE Lightnings, Canberra cartridge start.
Two things you won't forget.

Re: Bruntingthorpe - My part in Neil Cave's night-fall
I'm gutted that I couldn't make it to this event. Cracking set, I really like numbers one and four (wing fold). I'm hoping to get to one of the Cold War days at Bruntingthorpe this year.
