NAS Oceana 2005
Eek - 2005 is considered "nostalgic"- feeling old now! Only got my EOS 300D in late 2004, so I was still getting to grips with the technology by this point. For some inexplicable reason I had it set on ISO 400 all day - on a beautiful, sunny day My processing technique also seems to have involved throwing away the originals once I had processed them, so all I have left are some fairly small JPGs which don't take too well to further processing. That said, I only have one picture of a 4 ship Tomcat break, so beggars can't be choosers!
I'll start with the best shot of the day, very happy to have caught this considering I'm not that good at flying shots:

I'm sure a fair few people on here are familiar with this little machine, once a common sight in these parts:

Out of interest - why sad? Was this the last show with Tomcats? They were retired in 2006, I thought...SpilsbyPete wrote: ↑Wed Sep 26, 2018 2:35 pmI remember it well..

Oh dear.
Must be old age taking it's toll.
You are correct,The last show was 2006.
I checked and I was there.

very nice, F14's in the break and with some cloud in the sky, both rare. Nice work.

The final F14 s were at Oceana 2006 and after the display in September that year within a month they had all gone to the bone yard .

The break shot of the F 14 s is superb I know because the next year 2006 show I got the same opportunity and failed to get it sharp great photo.
Re: NAS Oceana 2005
