North East Land, Sea & Air Museum (NELSAM) - Usworth

Post by Nateb Soots58 » Wed Aug 01, 2018 8:51 am

Thought i would give the local Air Museum a long overdue visit. Appears lots of restoration work on-going in the small hangars. A number of the outside exhibits have seen better days. They are currently working on the starboard wing of the Vulcan hence the scaffolding.

Echo the above we visited last year on the way back from hadrians wall and it was well worth the visit, I find the grass roots preservation museums the best as they show the hard work put in to getting the exhibits and the work in keeping them in a condition that shows care. My only regret is that they don't get the local assistance from local people most of the time and thats reflected in not j6st this museum but others up and down the land, and not just in this genre but others as well.
