Duxford June Bimble ~ *UPDATE 4~30Jun18*
Considering the weather forecast for the afternoon was rain and thunder, the blue sky, sunshine and fluffy clouds was greatly appreciated. The British Antarctic Survey Twin Otter VP-FBL flew in to join its stable mate VP-FAZ. There are now twin Twin Otters parked on the jet pan. The Blenheim flew off to Exeter for the Torbay air show and Spitfire MK Vc/EE602 went up for a handling flight and a spot of aerobatics on its return and the ARCo Beaver also did a brief but spirited display routine. Stu Goldspink flew the TFC Wildcat to overnight at Old Warden for the Fly Navy show tomorrow.

Nice as always Brian. I'm suffering Twin Otter and Beaver overload after being in Alaska for a couple of weeks recently. Amazing how many Beavers are still extant[ dis-regarding the furry ones!].

Re: Duxford June Bimble ~ *UPDATE 1~21Jun18*
A very quiet day at Duxford apart from first thing when an Aerospatiale AS-555 Fennec/5431 of the Armee De L'Air flew in and parked up next to Sally-B and the crew went off for a wander around the museum, closely followed by an Agusta-Westland AW-139/AW141 of the Dubai Air Wing that flew in from Newmarket for a spot of fuel and then flew back to Newmarket. CCF T-6J Texan/G-TVIJ flew in and parked up at ARCo and the TFC Bearcat/G-RUMM was outside for an engine run.

Re: Duxford June Bimble ~ *UPDATE 2~24Jun18*
Another busy Saturday at Duxford with some nice warm weather to boot although high thin cloud did roll in and diffused the light. Classic Wings were busy as usual with 4 Tiger Moth's, 3 Dragon Rapide's, 2 Spitfire's and a Harvard on the airfield. P-51/'Miss Helen' departed for a weekend air show at Bicester but I believe has gone tech and wont be taking part in the flying. Dubai Air Wing Pair AW139's dropped in for some jet fuel and as a pair flew off down south. Highlight of the day was when a Dutch based 1967 built Cessna O-2A Super Skymaster/N590D in USAF markings dropped in for a couple of hours.

There I was, looking VERY HARD for a 'Fennec,' but couldn't see one.!! Looked through the pics, expecting to see the piston engined ground support aircraft, to discover that they have named one of those 'orrible heliocopeter' thingys after one!!!!. I wish manufacturers would stop confusing us boring old f...s by changing names!!!!!!!!. Nice pics as always Brian.

Re: Duxford June Bimble ~ *UPDATE 3~26Jun18*
They say mad dogs and Englishmen go out in the mid-day sun as do aeroplane photographers. Early afternoon and the temperature was +25C and Scorchio. Apart from two Mk.1 and a Mk.V Spitfire and two Hurricanes flying along with the Catalina having a low rev engine run, a very quiet day at Duxford. In the order taken.

Re: Duxford June Bimble ~ *UPDATE 4~30Jun18*
With most of the ARCo and HAC war birds flying off on Friday for weekend air show duties, I was expecting a quiet Saturday at Duxford. Far from it as it was extremely busy day most of which I spent on the Tank Bank. Highlight was the arrival of the Air Leasing Buchon/'Yellow 7' from Sywell which used Duxford as a base for its display slot at the Battle of Britain show at Headcorn.
