First off what a great set of pics from 32 years ago - makes me feel old!

Hope you don't mind but I was going through the Norfolk Air Review to see why I missed the Italians. This cast doubt on your date (if you have an interest in accuracy for your records if not apologies).

The 18th was a Sunday (I went to Colt on the 17th to see 54 Sqn's 70th anniversary flying - Ginas were hangared)

ZA553 arrived as an emergency on 15th and left on 21st - as your shots show fire crew and tug suggests 15th.

NAR lists Puma XW209 visiting on 19th.

Italians were there 13th to 21st.

Finally XX833/AY was one of several apparently on loan at the time.

Hope this is of use.

Good stuff, pity Colt went - good memories of visiting there. More welcome!

Cheers. Just checked my notes and I was there on the 19th so the 18th was a typo. That ties in with the Puma but not the arrival of the Tonka on the 15th. Wonder if it went for an air test and took poorly again.
