Biggin Hill Heritage Hangar tour

Post by robstopper » Wed May 16, 2018 11:55 am

Did the BHHH tour on Saturday with my mates Pete and Andy. Great day out, good value for money - also did the "Sit in a Spit" add-on

Can't post pics of the BBMF MkII Spitfire or the Bf109E as per owners requests, but here's a few others.

See their Spits over my house quite often. I thought the Bf109 would be flying this year, can you say how far advanced it is? did they mention the Mosquito project?

The DB605 is still awaiting specialist attention at the moment, so there's no nose on the Bf109 yet. Our guide did mention the Mossie, he said that after three years of waiting he could finally start talking about it! But beyond telling us about the two Merlins they have waiting to go on, there wasn't much to tell.

Nice little set there

Not sure I would have let the subject 'Humanoid' in No. 10 sit in MY Spit ;)

Not at all sure I would have let him on the airfield

Thanks for posting :thumb:

Paddy, I think "humanoid" is a fairly generous description for him! "Genetic experiment gone wrong" is more accurate lol

Excellent!

Ask him about the 'trailer incident' last Tuesday! He was OK though on Saturday as Nick and I played 'fielders' in case the event were to happen again
