Although not an aircraft, this is really, really interesting!!

Help with dates please? I suspect late 40's or early 50's? Ex GCI station....

An interesting piece of history - thanks. The 81FIW's,116FIS was based at Shepherds Grove with F-86A's 5 Sep'51 - 1 Nov'52.

According to this website: https://www.globalsecurity.org/wmd/worl ... _grove.htm F86's were only based at Shepherds Grove in 1951 and were here as part of the 81st BG headquartered at Bentwaters. Narrows it down considerably, but more evidence would help in your quest.

a quick check and 1951 looks good from a couple of clue's

29 sq Mosquito's at Tangmere used Mossies until August 1951
421 sq (RCAF) Odiham January-November 1951

Unfortunately not. The building is being used as a potato store, and already the moisture has begun to degrade the paint, chalk and also wall.

Perspex was suggested, as well as varnishing, but discounted due to further leaching from the rear.

Make the most of the picture whilst you can!!

RAF Comberton, Worcestershire BTW...
