The much missed 'Growler'!. Sadly this particular aircraft (Dylan) was the one that subsequently hit the hillside on South Harris with the loss of all ten crew. Two weeks previously I had been on 8 Sqn & flown with / met several of the lost crew-members, including the Boss. :(

A rhapsody for rivets. As a USAF General once said ' Only the Brits could operate a forties radar in a fifties airframe and, more importantly, do it well'.
