Blackburn's (Anonymous Naval Aircraft) NA39, first flown in 1958 and christened Buccaneer in 1960 - A masterpiece in area ruling !

Thanks for posting these..fond memories indeed.
I never did understand why they chose XX894 to paint up as an 809 machine when it was never with the FAA. They had a choice of a few which had been.

Great pics of the Brick, built to last in Yorkshire. Definitely one of the toughest ever a/c to serve - capable of decapitating a telegraph post and safely returning from a Red Flag mission as I recall. They don't build them like that any more. Can't see an F35 getting away with that - or even getting that low.
