Mildenhall Nose Art from Yesteryear

Post by pj1 » Wed Jan 10, 2018 12:58 pm

With the 100th ARW now applying nose art to its aircraft, it made me think of the examples that we have had in the past within the wing.
Looking through my photos from airshows past I have managed to scan these.
These were all taken by me, and all taken at Mildenhalls legendary airshow, unless otherwise stated.
This is all I have, but feel free to post any other examples if you have them, Id like to see them.

The wings first example of "100 Proof" taken in 1993

The second example of "100 Proof" taken in 1995. I wonder if the new one to be applied will look simular?

King Bee? This artwork was not finished in time for the show. The crew did have the artists impression of what it should look like when it was finished, but I naver saw the finished article.

Cant help feel the new batch, although good misses something compared to these, but that might be just me.

Great Add on Gents. Thanks for the replies. I knew the 100th had had a few in the past!

Michael, the 100th must have had another KC called Nightmare, as it was called 'Another Nightmare'.

Keep them all coming.

Phil
