Always great aircraft at Bentwaters
Re: Seymour Johnson 'Eagles' @ Bentwaters
I remember that visit for all the wrong reasons. I got home from holiday to a message on my voicemail from an A-10 pilot friend. A friend of his from the Air Force Academy was in ‘town’ and did I want to come on base for a beer and take a look round the F-4s. Would not have been able to take pictures though.

Re: Seymour Johnson 'Eagles' @ Bentwaters
Great to see these at Bentwaters from back in the day
Background looks abit different to what it did a couple of weeks ago - walked right past the buildings in the background of 4, 5 and the last shots
Thanks for posting

Re: Seymour Johnson 'Eagles' @ Bentwaters
Ah, the nostalgia - those weekend X - Countries certainly resulted in some choice visitors!
These SJ's were part of `Coronet Bull` 12 x 4thFW/334thFS F-4E's deployed to Karup 31 May - 28 Jun'89.
4 of them (72-162, 72-489, 73-160 and 74-626) arrived at Bentwaters from Upper Heyford, where I'd seen them depart at 1257 on Sunday 18th June as "Mission3160". They'd arrived at 'Heyford the previous afternoon from Spangdahlem.
Great to see some close ups from a base I wish I'd visited more often.

Thanks to everyone who has taken the time to comment and add additional information to my posts so far, much appreciated.
I have been wanting to scan my slides & prints for some time but it was only when i came across this excellent website that i found some where to display them.Sorry that some of the quality of the scans is lacking but i think some of the slides are showing their age and probably were not stored as well as they could have been !
Will keep posting some more as time allows, thanks again.

I have been told enough times, that on WR&N, we expect time to have taken its toll on the negs/slides/pozzies, so ANY shots you can scan and post will be very much appreciated
