Some more mouldy oldies from the vault
Some more mouldy oldies from the vault
Hi Peeps
The perfect scenario: 1). SWMBO is out for a days Xmas shopping with her sister
2). I have ticked everything off her jobs-to-do list
3). I have finished the important stuff that I needed to do
The end result is a bit of time for some delving
I have gone in at the deep end again by putting some captions to these

Best regards

Re: Some more mouldy oldies from the vault
Nice memories, I am amazed how short the TR1/U2Rs nose is compared to the modern iterations/ types. Thanks for the memories.

Nice selection there Paddy - thanks as ever for taking the time to scan and post.
Loved the C-5 in the lizard camo when it first came out but that soon disappeared when trying to photograph it in dull light.
Think the nose fit on the U-2 / TR-1 here is just a standard / ferry type nose. They did have some longer ASARS-2 nose fits around in the 80's when flying missions from Alconbury
Thanks again Paddy
Darren

Smashing set
Great to see the Starlifter in the air. I bet for many of us - our earliest memories of the C-141 are as MAC callsigns going Woodley-Dover.
