Paris airshow 1963 in mono
Digging back in my film shots again only black and white as was the normal in those times.
Way back then myself and 2 mates set off to the show in my 1961 Mini.
We traveled by Silvercity Bristol Freighter from Lydd to Le Touquet , good start only £3:00 each and £3:50 the car.
Bad news was I had my Ilford Sportsman 35 mm camera stolen at Lydd and had to use a spare plastic Brownie 127.
Given the time thats passed they are reasonable, for those who have been to Paris show it's cramped and a lot of visitors.
So heres the best I could do.

Dear Santa,
I've been a good boy - honest - Tardis for Christmas please.
Always wished I'd seen a Vigilante - preferably flying. Always liked F-8's too and was lucky to see most for the FN fleet.
Smashing. Any more?
Cheers
Malcolm

Wonderful post Warferry, I was at that surperb show as well - via Air France Caravelle's Heathrow to Orly and back. Bristol Freighter sounds like an interesting experience!
The 48FIS F-106A 90136 was one of a pair (the other being 90124) which staged through Prestwick en-route to the show - possibly the only time Delta Darts visited the UK?
Thanks for a great trip down memory lane,
cheers,
Graham

I'm drooling over some of these frames! Fabulous nostalgia. Malcolm - I hope it's a big TARDIS!

I'm next in the queue
In this world there's two kinds of people, my friend. Those with loaded guns, and those who dig. You dig.

Very nice. Been a couple of times years later. I am intrigued by the aircraft in the photograph immediately before the P.47. Looks like a side-by-side version of the Fouga Magister, but that isn't what it is tho'. Any clues anyone?
