Mildenhall Tornado Memories

Post by paddyboy » Tue Sep 12, 2017 5:29 am

Hi Peeps :P

Finally got to post these, after having to completely re-jig 'Flickr' :@

I think these are from 1993

My book-keeping is even worse than the quality of the shots

Really miss the ADV and lovely schemes on the display aircraft too. I don't remember the display ever including a dogfight with an Aardvark though :halo:

Always thought the F3 display was more dynamic that the GR displays, especially Fred Grundy's.

It took me a couple of passes to spot it. It was the air brake that did it. Would have made an awesome air show spectacular if they had staged a dogfight. Having said that, with the turning circles of Tornado's and F-111's it'd have performed it at St Mawgan and Leuchars air displays at the same time!

F3s always worth a peek PB and who's he calling ugly? Better proportioned than the standard Tonka with longer legs and sadly retired before its time.
