Nice piece of history warferry - they closed Blackbushe just when I started spotting! What a choker that was.
The French Air Force was still operating the Bretagne in '64 - saw one visiting RAF Odiham during Farnborough week that year along with a lot of other interesting military visitors whose crews and pax were attending the SBAC show. Following the closure of Blackbushe Farnborough week visitors mostly switched to Odiham although Northolt picked up some of the traffic as well.
Great times.
