Cracking work as per, Paddyboy.
Lovely airframes, the first time I saw one at close hand, I couldn't get over the size of the beefy undercarriage!

Re: Various 'Varks from various venues
Another excellent post Mr W. Can never have enough F-111s - one of my favourites of all time
Not sure on the locations for the 1st 3 though mate - does not look like an 'Air Fete' back drop
Thanks as ever for posting - I may get a few from Bentwaters 88 later
All the best
Darren

Beautiful pictures of a beautiful aircraft!
I'll always remember my first close encounter with the 48th TFW flagship at a Mildenhall Air Fete with it's big white 'BF Goodrich' letters on those chunky rear tyres . And, that three ship flypast with the wings swept at different angles...Excellent!!!
Thanks for sharing these memories of happy days!

Re: Various 'Varks from various venues
Lovely selection Paddyboy Always loved that verrry sleek airframe.
Brings back a great memory when a group of us were stood on the approach for Rwy21 Binbrook with 2 x swingers turning inbound over Grimsby for the approach. Some of my 'associates' didn't bother raising cameras as 'UH' birds were so common in the circuit.... but these two birds turned out to be 'NA' Nellis birds
Never heard so much 'language'
Thanks for posting

Great post.
Fond memories of swingers rattling the rib cage whilst launching from runway 27 at Heyford.

Hi Paddyboy
Another great set.
Unfortunately I took the Swinger for granted, a great sight in the sky, sadly missed.
All the best

Took me right back to the many pleasurable hours spent at the 27 end at Ardley.

Re: Various 'Varks from various venues
Probably 2 of these F-111A's Keith - 67-0058, 67-0062, 67-0076 and 67-0084 all NA/red deployed at Upper Heyford in March'76. I remember them being parked on the former "SAC ramp" in the South West area of the base. It was good to see some rare ones for a change on possibly the only occasion when NA F-111's deployed to Europe.3Greens wrote:Lovely selection Paddyboy Always loved that verrry sleek airframe.
