<t>Monday April 24th 1978 – Day off – Mildenhall, natch. Small group in front of SR-71 hangar - doors open – empty inside. Hmmh. 1230h ’Q’ 59-1474 staggers up from 29. 1430h 59-1512 ditto. Hmmmh. 1500h 59-1474 returns on 11 – group outside hangar now much bigger. Hmmmmh. Easterly wind so take up position on the Hurdle Grove shoulder. Joined by uniformed USAF AV team who start setting up a tripod - “just routine” - oh right! 1530h Tally-ho! The article appears on finals for 11. Click, click, then dash back to West Row and here’s the result. High-speed taxi, quick tow and within minutes it was all gone.</t>

I should have been able to add one from Farnborough as I had positioned where I thought it would rotate. It did but I was so awestruck by the sight and sound and vibration that I forgot to press the button.
