Description:
Total of eight (8) military aircraft and one (1) inert (concrete filled) missile, Demil C and Demil D- Demilitarization as condition of sale. Demilitarization to be performed on site. Aircraft: F105B - 1 each; F105F -1 each ; T39 - 1 each ; C97 - 1 each; C133 - 1 each; C47 - 1 each; B66 1 each; HU16 - 1 each. Engines previously removed, all required certifications on hand, aircraft are from Air Force Museum and have been static displays for an extended period. Missile is inert LGM 30A-dimensions: 5 ft. 6" diameter at base, and 60 ft. tall. Missile is approximately one half to two thirds filled with concrete. Missile is located on a pedestal in the middle of the entrance to a former Air force installation and is within 500 feet of a busy highway. May require partial closing of nearby streets during removal. Total estimated weight of the missile cannot be determined, original weight of the unit was 78,000 pounds-there is no propulsion unit and is partially filled with an unknown amount of concrete. Total estimate weight of aircraft is 300,000 pounds. Aircraft weights from the factory: F105B and F105F approximately 27,500 pounds each, one has no tires, wheels, engines, instruments, seats have been removed, estimated weight of each F105 is approximately 20,000 pounds; T39 aircraft-factory specs list weight as 9,257 pounds, estimated remaining 8000 pounds; C97G aircraft - factory specs list weight as 82,500 pounds-estimated remaining weight 70,000 pounds (Tail section removed from aircraft); C133A aircraft - factory specs list weight as 109,000 pounds -estimated remaining weight 90,000 pounds; C47 aircraft - factory specs list weight as 18,135 pounds - estimated remaining weight 15,000 pounds; B66 aircraft factory specs list weight as 42,540 pounds - estimated remaining weight 35,000 pounds; UH16B aircraft - factory specs list weight as 22,833 pounds -estimated remaining weight 18,000 pounds (wings are removed but are on location). Additional associated material equipment (wooden cribbing supports, stands etc.) bring total estimated weight of 350,000 pounds. Some wood (some aircraft have wheels removed) included in total weight and also includes some concrete (other than missile fill) -total dunnage /debris estimated at less than 20,000 pounds. Site has indicated roll-off containers can be brought to the location for consolidation of scrap metal. All material resulting from demilitarization process must be removed, including dunnage; tail stands, tie downs etc.; By bidding, each bidder represents, warrants, and certifies that ALL materials purchased will not be re-used or re-furbished, or sold for re-use or refurbishing, but will ONLY be processed in order to recycle the raw materials into new, manufactured items. Buyer must provide Liquidity Services with a Certificate of Destruction on the form specified by Liquidity Services within 30 days of removal. Due to property location, there may be some damage to the grass and surrounding area which Buyer is responsible for leveling out and cleaning up after project. No concrete or asphalt repair will be required due to the operations- just level out and remove rubble. Property is located at former Chanute Air Force installation- 1013 Pacesetter Drive, Rantoul, IL 61866. This project must be coordinated with GL representative and DLA Disposition Services.
