C2As at Palma
A friend noted US Navy C-2A’s coded 40 and 55 at Palma Majorca on the 29/06/16. They both departed at around 15-00.
I presume they were off a carrier, if so, can anyone identify them for him ?
Thankyou

On that photo the photographer has it as 162143 but it looks like 162144 to me .
In May 2016 162162 was noted at Souda Bay coded 40

I was going to edit the post to ask which carriers are in the Med.

Both the Eisenhower and the Truman were in the Med from the the middle of June to the beginning of July. The Eisenhower was heading East and the Truman West.

Re: C2As at Palma
Hi
I gather C-2A 162144/55 was reported at Souda Bay in mid June along with sister ship 162162/40... and as code '55' was confirmed in the photo taken at Palma on the 29/06 as being 162144, then it's highly likely that code '40' is still being worn by 162162.
Best wishes.

Re: C2As at Palma
apparently my pal tells me that "40" is pictured elsewhere on the "Aviationcorner" website, confirming 162162
