Joint Warrior Heli Force

Post by Duane Hewitt » Fri Apr 11, 2014 10:10 pm

Thursday morning saw the JW helicopter force partially move to Carlisle as a FOB for operations over RAF Spadeadam. Thursday daytime saw AH and 9A in at the airport, while the evening saw Chinook, Puma and Merlin utilise the TSW assets there. Friday all that remained was a Merlin HC3 and a 9A, and although the Merlin got W/U headed for home, had to recover back to Carlisle with the ongoing tail rotor/IGB oil issue that they tried to resolve earlier. The issue continued to plague the cab late into the evening, and was still noted as being on the ground at Carlisle at 1700.

I see you both got back safe looking at these (good set).
Good to meet up with you both, it’s been sometime since I last spoke with you.
Take care (get that commission)
There is no rehearsal you only get one shot

Good to see you again. Hope the rest of your trip was fruitful too. I'll send you the email we talked of at Lossie.
