Love the old woman below the SR's nose, looks like she was waiting for a bus to go shopping and ended up getting on the shuttle bus into the show

Perhaps she got on the wrong one at Shippey Hill.

How times have changed!

I remember a photo in a monthly magazine of some spotters at a German Navy event back in the 80s or early 90s , could have been at Schleswig- jagel or was it Eggebeck?

It was basically a long line of spotters with various types of telescopes - some brass (Broadhurst) , some heutal reuz ??( can't remember spelling) or that ubiquitous thin black pole - that also I can't remember the name of.

Slogen, I believe the thin black pole to which you refer may well have been the Hilkinson Pancratic. I still have one somewhere.

When you have the perfect partner , to share the shows with. Then there are the hard liners, that slip through the gates at Mildenhall, with a press pass

Not going to 'name and shame' then Eagle Driver?

Another one from 1986 - same show in front of the US Navy P-3
