Hi,
This spring a good friend and I visited Japan. Of course our main target was Hyakuri Air Base to photograph the (R)F-4E(J) Phantoms before they will be retired, but we also visited some other bases. Gifu, home of Hiko Kaihatsu Jikken Dan (Air Development and Test Wing) was one of them and although we almost skipped this visit due to bad weather fortunately conditions improved in the afternoon. We stayed in the approach area from 13:00 till 16:00 hours (after that the light started to work against us) resulting in some nice landingshots from the locally based F-2's, T-4, F-4, F-15 etc.

Picture 1 reminds me of the YF-16 at RAF Mildenhall all those years ago.
