Lakenheath 13-11-2017

Post by Blue Diamond » Thu Nov 16, 2017 9:55 am

A good day at the Heath with some cracking light and interesting visitors. The bonus being the 9 Swiss Hornets passing overhead on their way to Lossie.

Looks like you had a cracking day. great photo's. Interesting that F15C 84-010 is carrying a live AIM120.

I haven't been for a couple of years now,but in the area next March for a few days so will definitely paying both bases a visit

Was heading for the Hall for the KC-10 departures but we just missed them. Diverted to the Heath and was rather glad we did with plenty of base ops, four nice visitors and the swiss F-18s overhead. Well worth getting out of bed for. :D

That F-15C was returning from Baltic Air Policing in Lithuania, was one that went tech and didn't return with the others. That also explains the Lithuanian C-27 bringing back equipment for the 493rd.
