Humberside Hawk

Post by bradley@Norwich » Wed Nov 08, 2017 11:15 pm

Evening All,

Thought i would share a photo of ZK531 sat outside on its plinth at Humberside Airport.
I was in the area a few weeks ago and thought it would be rude not to have a look round. It now spends its day as a gate guard for the BAE Systems academy located at the airport.
Sadly the weather was less than ideal, but i cant do much about that.

Any C&Cs are more than welcome.

Kind Regards

Bradley

Great shot.
Nice to see it on display, looks like seats have been removed and it's had a repaint?

Is it possible to view and photograph this aircraft for outside any airfield / company security fences / gates ?
If it is within a private / secure part of the airfield are authorities happy to arrange access ?
Thanks Paul

Hi Bradley,
Just thought I would add that the Strikemaster Mk.80A 1129 EX RSAF has been placed onto the same plinth as the Hawk since your photograph.
Makes a really good display outside BAE.
