thanks to a post on here - went to Lakenheath before Tescos to catch the return of some based eagles just for the record

(I wish I had made bit more of an effort and walked into the field to get a clearer view of the markings)

It was nice that Lakenheath opened the overhead at the weekend so they could make an appropriate return

Great catch and those mission marks will be short lived now the flight is back.

Lovely to see the eagles home and look to have been very well used. What are The four yellow mission marks? Not seen those before

Thanks

I didn't get a sharp enough picture of the yellow mission marks - they look like firey hammer head to me?

The blue lettering says "The Dude Abides".
Great they are back safe and sound.

Nice. Did the first jets to arrive back in recent weeks have mission marks too?

Does anyone know what each mission mark stands for?

Very interested!

Hopefully, each mission mark equates to one less Jihadi stealing oxygen.
