Canadians at Prestwick Aug 20

Post by toom317 » Sun Aug 20, 2017 4:53 pm

Luckily I left for Prestwick at the usual time, and got the Canadians, as they were gone by 11.00. Felling pretty smug with myself as I'd got up at 6.00, on a Sunday, to get to Prestwick, only to find Niall and a whole lot of other guys from way up North, already there, having left around 3.00. Great day out with 4 F18's, a Polaris, and a KC135 thrown in for good measure. Nice to meet Doug and have a bit of a chat while waiting for the action to start.

Always nice to see the Canadians over here, even when just passing through' and esp. when they sport a bit of colour. Go Nighthawks!

I was tempted to have an extra hour in bed rather than leave around 7 as I usually do, when going to Prestwick, and if I had, I'd have missed the lot. Apart from the great day out at Prestwick, I had the surreal experience of travelling from Selkirk to Moffat, and having the whole route to myself. Not one other moving vehicle on the road. Weird.
