Superb, I took shots of the same special plane, not a close as this but still I saw her.

Exact same frame that went into Boscombe after that alledged incident, not sure if she has been in the Uk since.

Excellent images, thanks for sharing..
If you can keep your head whilst all around are losing theirs, you have probably completely misread the situation!!

For those of us not in the know, what's so rare about it?

Have a read, but in a nut shell a Black project (Aurora) was supposed to have crashed at Boscombe Down Airfield, and several different aicraft were flown in including the Area 51 Janet B737s and a C-5C its modified for unusual size loads -Rockets sections/Aircraft, that ordinary C-5B and now C-5M cant carry.

Very nice photos. Unfortunately I didn't get to Fairford until after 68-0213 had landed, so had to contend with lots of heat ripples!
First time I'd seen '213 in the UK, but I'd photographed it (and sister ship '216) at Travis AFB in 2009, and again at the MCAS Miramar show in October 2010.
Cheers, TM74

I got to wondering if the Boscombe Down story about 213 will come out in 2024, 30 years after the alledged incident, how many C-5s have visited Boscombe Down since 1994, great shots by OP anyway.
