Mildenhall and Wookies!

Post by gary1701 » Sun Oct 21, 2018 9:45 pm

All,

Ended up at Mildenhall for the second Saturday running following a little diversion early morning. I was side tracked a little...

Image

Yes, the 10th annual Moyse's Hall Sci-fi exhibition was opening in Bury St Edmunds, and on opening morning they usually have a few added attractions!

So leaving Bury late morning I made my way over, which meant I missed 'Cobra Ball' down Folly as she came past. Only catching her rolling.

Image

Didn't get the MC-12 either as saw it late as was trying to set up a new camera that I have on loan with a view to buying at the time (replacing my 7D MkI with a MkII).

Really pleased to get the U-Boat as I was under the impression he would be out until after dusk.

Added bonus was the back taxi and back down past Folly.

The HC-130 then left.

Just one more from Bury, target...me!

Very nice set and not something you would see in Bury St Edmunds every day!
Cheers.

Great shots from a cracking day but the U-Boat on short finals is especially nice.

Thanks gents, better not rub the guys up the wrong way just North of the border, especially considering how our respective footie teams are doing! Hi Nick, bit too thin for me, the TIE fighter pilot (character in all black on the bottom shot for those not familiar!), is more my size, little short though!

Moyse's Hall at Bury is on one corner of the main town centre square, which was busy Saturday morning with the market. You should have seen the reaction from people not aware of the exhibition when the two Wookies walked out...priceless! The first youngster persuaded by his mum to have his photo taken with them burst into tears when they growled...

Very nice. Still to get a pic of the U-Boat so I'm tad jealous of yours. :)
