Only the west side is somehow "reachable", the east has many trees and not spotter friendly.
I have mixed reactions from the Police, someone only ckecked my ID but the rest said in polite manners that I have to stop taking photographs.

You are correct, Friday 18th NTM-18 Spotters-day only is Sold-out. There are however, limited inclusive weekend tickets still available! :thumb:
I've decided to bin this opportunity as the facilities & contents are not clear enough to warrant flight reservations at this time. It would appear to be largely a repeat F-16 event in any case? I've been to many Meets in the past & 'Vipers with tail-stickers' (some from the previous year!!) will not cut-it for me anymore.

Had an email from the spotters.poznanairshow website that tickets can now be booked for the 18th May Sold out message was an error. Tickets booked.

Whilst people can moan about the event being an F-16 only event guess we should be lucky that the Tiger Meet exists at all given general airforce downsizing, type retirements and the other commitments that squadrons have.
If you were on the squadron and was told that you were going to be away from family for two weeks in May, on top of your normal work load you might not be so pleased. For us its a hobby and a pleasure, for others its extra work for no extra pay.

A few points in reply to your views Paul,
a) I'm not 'moaning'...It's my personal view & assessment that the TM-18 offering no longer appeals to me. :D
b) The organisation of the simple 'bits' seem to have Challenged the capacity of the Organisers, which does not bode well for the next phase, presumably Security checks?
c) The effects of Downsizing, Finances & other Commitments are appreciated by myself, but these limitations make it less attractive to me than it previously was, when 'we' were really lucky ;)
d) I have little sympathy for the personnel 'forced' to attend the Tiger Meets. They joined the armed Forces to travel to far-off places, meet new people & kill the s*** (soul?) out of them. For this, they are paid based on their availability for 365 days a year (366 in Leap Years). Going to a beer-swilling bun-fight in Poland aint exactly torture.
e) Not everybody is blessed with a great Family life. It's not inconceivable that some posted personnel may embrace time away from arguing kids & the Moose they married ? Hell, it's only 2 weeks...maybe they should be glad they're not in the Navy?

Maybe it's not going to be best NTM ever, and one day in years to come we'll be pining for the days when the F16 was a common sight :)
I took a punt on flights and accomodation when this one was first announced, and for me, due to the close proximity of transport and town I thought it a no brainer for a short trip, let's hope the weather plays ball.

Don't forget if you have time that probably half the old Polish Airforce must be preserved in various museums around Poland in Warsaw , Krakow and Deblen for example

Sorry Supra the 'moaning' comment was not directed at you.
Just a lot of negativity surrounding this years Tiger Meet, and I dont know why.
Just the fact that the usual team have been invited to help organised a Spotters Day.
Here is hoping for sunny skies

If you go to the website as if you're going to buy tickets, on the first screen after clicking 'Proceed to checkout' at the top is a 'Returning customer? Click here to login' option.
That might be your answer.

I have been trying to get hold of the organisers to update my booking details, with no joy or at least by email address supplied. I thought I would try the phone number. The result of the call is that the agency/firm dealing with the bookings are involved in another event before the Tiger Meet and heavily involved in that currently. Did say they would get back to everyone in time but not sure how quick that will be. I am sure the security is being dealt with by the authorities but any updates to assist that screening in my case updating my passport number following renewal may be to late to make the appropriate plans to get to the event this year.

Time will tell, if I will be there.
