Would be nice if this was made the official 2011 Tiger meet, and fully supported by those squadrons that roar!

Chance of getting any RAF ISTAR assets is going to be slim to zero me thinks, given the current operational tempo.

40 years of RIAT? Lets hope for some gems.

NTA 50th Anniversary

Nato Tiger Association
There will be three major events in 2011 as we celebrate the NATO Tiger Association's 50th Anniversary.

First, we expect delivery of our 50th Anniversary Book in March (See separate article on how to order). Second, we have our annual Tiger Meet in Cambrai-Epinoy AB, France on 9-20 May. Plans call for an airshow at Cambrai-Niergnies AB on the middle weekend. Third, Our 50th Anniversary will be a featured theme at the Royal International Air Tattoo, RAF Fairford, 16/17 July.
Info from NATO Tigers

I'm off to Cambrai too so bring on 2011  :thumb:

To be honest, I think you're reading what you want to read, rather than too much in to it!

Haven't bought my FRIAT package yet. Just had a thought is the VAT rise in January going to affect the price?

Prices should not change until the early bird tickets go off sale, then there might be a big increase.

Although the Romanians took part at the Hungarian show the reason they pulled out of RIAT was to perform at their own national airshow, in mass on the same weekend as RIAT. Shame on them for putting national pride before RIAT eh?

Oman, Belgium and Pakistan are in the process of confirming/already confirmed for next year, hopefully a Pakistani F-16 will grace our tarmac in 2011 with a bit of luck.
Cheers,

Why an F-16, why not a JF-17 or one of their Mirage 5s - Pakistan has a larger air force than we do now with many, many goodies with in it!
You want the Aladeen news, or the Aladeen news?

Agreed, the Turkish show in June will make RIAT look like a graden fete. I think we have to accept that RIAT is the best we will get in this country, its never going to be as good as it was, due to lesser aircraft numbers and types remaining, but what there is just doesnt come here anymore. No disrespect to the organisers, im sure they try there best, but what was the best show in the world is not even the best in Europe no more im afraid, but I will still be there :D
