Middle Wallop 21-Aug-15

Post by palace_ops » Fri Aug 21, 2015 4:40 pm

Seen operating today between 11.00 and 14.00 local:

ZJ210 Panther 92 then later as Panther 89
ZJ203 Panther 90
ZJ193 AAC078 (US accent Pilot)
All AH-64s

Several Tutors operating too with F76x c/s's

There was also a Typhoon in the overhead into Boscombe Down (no serial or c/s noted) - can anyone help ID?

Thanks for that...I caught the '05' bit of the c/s but missed the rest.
This def wasn't the Battle of Britain camo a/c though (standard grey all over plus had some black/white checker board panels just rear of the front wheel bay)

Yep, sorry, scratch that I've just realised I can't read my own scribbles and merged two things! ZJ699 was the frame in question :)

...you just beat me to it !

I've been searching the board and there are some nice pics of it here:

So yeah, it was def this bird ZJ699 (the IPA Typhoon) and the black/white check boards were actually yellow/black.

Thanks again !
