FlightSim FS9/FSX Screenshots

Post by RichC » Sat Apr 07, 2012 2:12 pm

Started a thread purely for FSX Screenshots...

Just been trying out my newly made HMS Ocean and RFA Mounts Bay alongside Abacus Illustrious and MSPG HMS Daring. So now i have a fully working Amphibious Task Force whenever i want it.

I plan on making a few other ships, really want to do HMS Albion but its got a lot of nonsense on it to model. Anyway...

Trying out the task force........ for some reason my wake on Ocean was working and then disappeared! I noticed Illustrious' wake kept disappearing and reappearing too.

Onboard RFA Mounts Bay looking back at HMS Illustrious astern, HMS Ocean mid formation and HMS Daring on the port flank as escort.

Then off to Illustrious

Then to HMS Ocean

Would be fantastic with more helicopters on the decks (MP) but i don't think MP can happen with aicarriers.

One thing i did notice during the aicarriers missions i have flown on... the ships list and pitch up and down. I was on Mounts Bay and the front was going up and i started rolling backwards so had to apply the brakes. I looked to the side and HMS Oceans' bow went up atleast 10ft and then back down slightly under the water line by a few feet too. Watched Daring do the same.

First noticed it when i was doing replenishment on the US Carrier within the programme. So it seems the sea in FSX does simulate a somewhat crude effect.
