Posting Pictures

Post by atech » Thu Aug 15, 2013 8:25 pm

Can you please explain to me why it is becoming increasingly difficult for me to post pictures on this forum.

I have been trying to post pictures of my completed model in the group build forum for over an hour.

All i keep getting is the message "it was not possible to determine the dimensions of this photo", sometimes one message sometimes two or three, sometimes one picture appears then none and so we go round in circles.

It is not the way I am posting the pictures, since I have done this many times and its worked. Its not the URLs of the pictures, since that is cut and pasted from the host directory, and if pasted in the URL bar of the browser (both firefox and IE) the pictures appear instantly.

It makes no difference if I cut and paste or type the URLs in the post.

Tonight my post was finally submitted but only showing the HTML code for the picture URL/

I hope you can sort out this problem, as I am becoming frustrated to the point where I cant be bothered any more.

Regards

Atech

Thanks for your reply, it's not very helpful (sarcasm rarely is).

This is a technical issue as what I do used to work, now it doesn't.

It's an issue with whatever host you use for your images, they block the request from the forum software to determine if the image meets the rules regarding image dimensions.

What host are you using and does the link you're trying to post contain .jpg or .jpeg on the end?

Perhaps post us the link without the [img] and we'll be able to help you further.
