FC slow again 29/30 April
Re: FC slow again 29/30 April
Just a little update for you all
MikeB and Adam D are working on the issues which appears to be quite simply that we have just outgrown our server (yet again!), and we need an increase in server specs once more. We are nearly at 9000 members on FC alone, so it is starting to take it's toll.
Please bare with us whilst we endeavour to sort this out. We may have some downtime if we need to switch servers, but we will try and give a heads up where possible.
If you cannot log in, then I would highly recommend that you follow our Twitter and Facebook 'Aeroresource' accounts for the latest news on server status.

Re: FC slow again 29/30 April
Hi Dunk
Thanks for the update, I have experienced the same issues as all the fellow FC's that have posted on this thread, it just goes to prove how popular this and its sister sites have become. To the guys that are dealing with this issue thank you, once sorted may this and its fellow sites go from strength to strength.

Re: FC slow again 29/30 April
Just to keep you all up to date on what's happening.
Essentially, with our server (VPS), you get guaranteed memory and burstable memory. The guaranteed memory is always there to be used, as the name indicates, but the burstable is only available if the server has it free (other containers' are not using it). It seems that we've been relying on this burstable memory when we get busy, and that's been fine. However, recently, for some reason (overloading of containers on the server, or just higher than normal traffic on the other containers) this burstable ram hasn't been available so we're slowing to a halt due to lack of memory.
So the short of it is, we need to upgrade, we're going through the options now and will announce a date when we'll have a small amount of downtime for the swap to commence.

Another update.
Server swap is taking place today (possibly into tomorrow), so things should be back to normal for the start of the week.
