Small eye symbol when typing in password

Hi people.
Had a few PC issues tonight and when i login to FC as i type my password a small symbole the shape of an eye appears on the righthand of the password box .
Pretty sure i have not seen it before.
Is it normal or to do with what ever attacked my PC.

It's a default Windows 8 feature which is also part of Internet Explorer 10 and can also be downloaded on a Windows 7 pc - it's called Password Eye...
