Marking posts as viewed?

Hey all,

I don't know if this is normal or just an error at my end, but when i log out and then back in, any posts that i had not viewed are still shown as having a new post.
Is there anyway i can mark any new posts that i have not viewed as viewed when i log out of the forum (like on the old forum). So if i have not viewed a particular topic and then log out, when i log back in the topic is shown as viewed.

Excuse me if this makes no sense, but it is 1:30 in the morning.

Before you leave the forum at the end of your viewing, if you return to the board index
you will see just above the start of the topics list a line like this
View unanswered posts • View new posts • View active topics • Mark forums read .

if you click on the mark forums read this should do the trick.
