Larger image sizes - Your thoughts?
Re: Larger image sizes - Your thoughts?
Just found the little magnifying glass in the top left of the larger photos.
This frames the shots and makes them look even better.
I think a lot of people will like this new format.

OK by me.
May I suggest someone in the know posts guidance on re-sizing/optimizing images for those who are no sure how to do this. BTW I'm not volunteering.

Loving it ,works for me
Re: Larger image sizes - Your thoughts?
Works fine for me.
I have a 15inch monitor and can view images with no problem. (without the forum being maximised)
If I choose to I can see them at the higher Res'.
Very impressed.
Dave.

Re: Larger image sizes - Your thoughts?
I use a 21" CRT monitor set to 1024x786 resolution. Due to this I can't view the "new" size in "full" size (I hope this makes sense) but if I wish to view it in max resolution I can zoom in with the little magnifiyng glass and then scroll the picture. Work for me! And what's even better, I usually resize any and all images to the 1024x768 anyway and had to resize them to 800x600 to post here. The new features saves me that extra step. I do like it! Well done lads and thanks!

Why don't you use a higher screen resolution - 1024x768 is a very low resolution for a 21" monitor.awacsfan wrote:I use a 21" CRT monitor set to 1024x786 resolution. Really nice idea. It's just a shame my internet connection is so slow and dire. It now takes even longer for photo threads to load. Although I'd say most people with decent/semi-decent internet connections wouldn't even notice a difference in load time.

I've tried that and experiemented with a higher screen resolution but since my eyesight ain't the best anymore and since I didn't want to use magnifying glasses for reading anything, I returned to the (for me) quite comfortable 1024x786 resolution.

Excellent.
Those 1200 wide images look VERY impressive.
No noticeble slowdown on my broadband connection.
