PM error

Trying to reply to a couple of PM and getting the following
General Error
SQL ERROR [ mysqli ]

Can't create/write to file '/tmp/#sql_2ea_0.MYD' (Errcode: 17) [1]

An SQL error occurred while fetching this page. Please contact the Board Administrator if this problem persists.

I am getting same message, and when I try to e.mail admin', message bounces back?
If you can keep your head whilst all around are losing theirs, you have probably completely misread the situation!!
